Trading Systems Engineer

Remote or hybrid from Singapore | Full-time | $250k-$350k base plus performance bonus.

Plexus is partnered with a crypto-native trading firm running quantitative strategies and automated market making across centralised and decentralised venues. 

The role

Building and scaling a Rust trading platform for a new trading vertical. The system is live and trading, but they need more hands on deck to increase efficiency and speed of production.

What you’ll do

• Build exchange integrations.
• Profile and optimise critical paths in the trading loop.
• Extend the core engine including execution logic, OMS and runtime configuration.
• Launch, monitor and debug live systems, and own incidents end to end.
• Work directly with traders and quants to productionise strategy code.

What we’re looking for

• Strong Rust.
• 3+ years on latency-sensitive backend systems, ideally trading or market making.
• Hands-on exchange integration experience.
• Experience translating trading requirements into production systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
