Staff Blockchain Engineer – Remote – $200k-$250k + equity

Plexus is partnering with a small, high-conviction team building a genuinely new category of financial markets infrastructure on Solana. Four people today, hiring their fifth, and this role is the one they’ve been waiting to fill before they build further.

Role Overview

You’ll take primary ownership of the Solana layer, programs written in Pinocchio and collaborate closely on the off-chain exchange infrastructure in Rust. The exchange logic is largely off-chain, so this is as much a backend infrastructure role as it is an on-chain one. Latency-sensitive, correctness-critical, orderbook-level work.

You’ll be the fifth person on the team, working directly with the co-founders in a flat, low-process environment.

What You’ll Work On

• Solana programs (Anchor / Pinocchio) that define the core market structure
• Backend exchange infrastructure in Rust, wrapping the programs to deliver a fast, reliable, production-grade product
• Complex market design problems from first principles

You’re Probably a Fit If You:

• Write production Rust and are comfortable in correctness-critical, latency-sensitive systems
• Have built on Solana – Anchor is a must, Pinocchio is a strong plus
• Can operate with incomplete specs and enjoy working out hard problems from scratch
• Have a genuine interest in markets
