Sr. Software Engineer

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER – DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS

Plexus is partnered with a high-performance engineering team building infrastructure for real-time financial systems, operating at the intersection of distributed systems and global markets.

Overview: We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design and build core systems powering real-time trading infrastructure. Ideal for engineers from HFT, low-latency, or deeply technical backend environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build distributed systems handling real-time data, pricing, and execution.
• Develop backend infrastructure for high-throughput, low-latency applications.
• Work across systems including data pipelines, pricing engines, and backend services.
• Collaborate closely in small teams to take products from 0 ? 1.

Requirements:

• 5+ years building production systems at scale.
• Strong experience in backend engineering (Go, Python, C++, Rust or similar).
• Background in distributed systems, concurrency, and performance optimisation.
• Experience in trading systems, financial infrastructure, or real-time data environments.

Bonus:
