Software Engineer (Rust) – €80k–€115k – Amsterdam Based (Hybrid) 

Plexus are working with a fast-growing quantitative trading firm operating across global digital asset markets. 

They are looking for a Software Engineer (Rust) to help build the systems powering their automated trading operation. You’ll work on performance-critical infrastructure where latency, reliability, scalability, and execution quality matter every day.

Responsibilities

• Build new ultra-low-latency trading infrastructure components in Rust.

• Improve existing and implement new trading algorithms.

• Build and optimize exchange connectors using FIX, WebSocket, and REST.

• Develop internal tooling, ML infrastructure, and data pipelines.

• Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and day-to-day trading operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, or exceptional personal/open-source projects.

• Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, low-level networking, and distributed systems.

• Experience with Rust, or strong motivation to work with Rust professionally.

• Comfortable working across the stack when needed, including TypeScript-based internal tooling and portfolio management systems.
