Smart Contract Engineer

Plexus has partnered with a well-backed, early-stage team building core infrastructure at the intersection of DeFi and traditional financial systems. They’re focused on solving complex challenges around capital efficiency, on-chain execution, and secure transaction flows.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll play a key part in designing and shipping the smart contract layer of a production system.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the design, development, and deployment of secure, production-level smart contracts in Solidity
• Build and maintain core protocol logic with a focus on performance and security
• Collaborate with engineers across backend and frontend to integrate on-chain components
• Write robust tests and contribute to security reviews and audits
• Continuously improve development standards, tooling, and best practices

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience building and deploying smart contracts in Solidity (4+ years)
• Deep understanding of DeFi primitives (AMMs, lending, staking, derivatives, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with modern tooling (Foundry, Hardhat, Slither, Echidna or similar)
• Strong focus on security, testing, and production readiness
• Background in financial systems or strong interest in markets is a plus
