Senior ZK Engineer

Senior ZK Engineer – Up to $180k Base + Tokens – Europe/Asia Preferred (Remote) 

Plexus has partnered with a well-funded, innovative startup (backed by nearly $100M) that’s redefining security for Proof-of-Stake blockchains and pioneering Bitcoin staking solutions. 

Their looking for a Senior ZK Engineer focused on SP1 development to power their trustless Bitcoin vaults and zk light-client infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SP1-based zero-knowledge components for trustless Bitcoin vaults and zk light-client flows.

• Own architecture for zkVM usage: circuit/program decomposition, I/O design, proving/verification pipelines, and performance budgets.

• Establish and enforce rigorous testing and quality standards (property-based, fuzz, invariant testing, CI).

• Collaborate closely with product and research teams to scope, prioritize, and ship features end-to-end

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Rust.

• Proven track record shipping zero-knowledge systems or infrastructure to production.

• Hands-on experience with SP1 and zkVMs.

• Deep understanding of zkSNARK and zkSTARK systems and trade-offs
