A fast-growing Web3 company is building a high-performance trading platform for active users across multiple blockchain networks.

The business is approaching a major product launch and is now looking for an experienced infrastructure engineer to take ownership of its bare metal environment and help design the next phase of its global architecture.

This is a hands-on build role rather than a maintenance position. The decisions made in the first few months will directly shape how the platform scales.

Responsibilities

• Audit the existing bare metal setup and take ownership of the infrastructure stack

• Design and implement a globally distributed, cross-data-centre architecture

• Define hardware, networking, replication and cost requirements

• Build highly available systems and optimise latency between services

• Provision and tune hardware for specific workloads

• Maintain Kubernetes clusters and deployment pipelines

• Improve deployment speed, reliability and documentation

• Support stateful and data-intensive services such as NATS and ClickHouse

• Manage relationships with bare metal and networking providers

Requirements

• Strong production Kubernetes experience

• Proven experience with bare metal or dedicated server infrastructure

• Deep networking knowledge across multiple data centres

• Experience building infrastructure from scratch at an early-stage company

• Ability to define and optimise hardware requirements independently

• Strong ownership and the confidence to propose, justify and execute decisions

• Experience beyond primarily cloud-based AWS, GCP or Azure environments

Nice to have

• Experience with NATS, ClickHouse or similar distributed systems

• Previous experience at a bare metal or dedicated server provider

• Familiarity with Web3, trading platforms or low-latency systems
