Senior Data Engineer – Up to $250k – Global Remote 

Plexus is partnering with an innovative Web3 trading infrastructure company that has just raised to hire a Hands-On Data Engineer to build and scale high-performance ClickHouse pipelines powering decentralized market insights.

With a strong and ambitious team, they are redefining blockchain trading infrastructure. Their platform bridges DeFi and traditional markets through low-latency, reliable, and scalable data systems built for high-throughput trading environments.

Role Overview

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll own the end-to-end design and operation of ClickHouse-based pipelines, turning blockchain and market data into queryable insights. You’ll lead production migrations, optimize performance, and collaborate across trading and backend teams to deliver mission-critical analytics infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ClickHouse data pipelines for blockchain and market data

• Lead zero-downtime migrations and production deployments

• Build dbt-clickhouse transformations for analytics and reporting

• Model trading data for scalability and performance

• Work cross-functionally to align data models with business logic

Requirements

• 3+ years in data engineering or architecture

• 2+ year in trading, or crypto

• 1+ year using ClickHouse as a primary database

• Strong data modeling and SQL skills

• Proficiency in Python / TypeScript / Go / Scala

• Experience with streaming or real-time analytics systems

Nice to Haves

• Experience with NATS, Kafka, or dbt

• Passion for trading systems or blockchain data

• High ownership and delivery-focused mindset
