What you’ll be responsible for
You will own market intelligence, brand presence, and stakeholder engagement across Sub-Saharan Africa, initially focusing on Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa. You will support compliant engagement in markets where VASP and digital asset regulations are evolving or enforced. You will act as a regional intelligence lead, working across Commercial, Product, Engineering, Policy, Legal, Compliance, and partners to surface insights and enable compliant market activity.
What you’ll work on
- Gather market Intelligence and developing on the brand presence across institutional settlement, FX, crypto capital markets, broker and custodian integrations, and tokenized issuer treasury use cases across Sub-Saharan Africa, with initial focus on Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.
- Identify potential institutional counterparties and ecosystem contacts.
- You will partner closely with the founder and commercial team to share the market intelligence, relay inbound inquiries from regional counterparties and support compliant market engagement across the region.
- Help build market strategy by building market intelligence.
Requirements
- 8-12 years’ experience in business development, market expansion, or institutional sales within fintech, payments, crypto or financial infrastructure.
- Proven experience driving institutional revenue.
- Demonstrated ability to open institutional accounts and convert them into live commercial relationships.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Policy, Legal, and Compliance to close and scale complex institutional partnerships.
- Deep understanding of stablecoin settlement, institutional crypto market structure, FX, custody, or institutional financial flows.
- Experience operating across multiple African markets and navigating diverse regulatory, banking, and counterparty dynamics.
