Plexus have partnered with a fast-growing L1 working at the intersection of blockchain infrastructure and autonomous systems. They are looking for a Senior Blockchain Infrastructure Engineer to help design, build, and maintain the core systems behind a next-generation Layer-1 blockchain.

Key Responsibilities

Core Protocol & Node Operations

Manage, optimize, and scale EVM-based node infrastructure (e.g., Geth, Avalanche-style clients, archive/RPC/indexing nodes).
Build monitoring, alerting, and automated failover systems for production environments.
Improve node performance, uptime, and overall operational robustness.

Layer-1 Chain Deployment & Maintenance

Lead configuration, deployment, and upgrades for a sovereign EVM-compatible chain.
Define chain parameters, consensus settings, and upgrade/rollback processes.
Ensure reliable release procedures for production chain environments.

EVM, Subnet, & Cross-Chain Integrations

Extend and customize EVM-related capabilities within the broader ecosystem.
Contribute to modules involving cross-chain messaging, bridging, and interoperability.
Collaborate with tooling and developer-facing teams to improve node UX.

Security & Reliability Engineering

Implement best practices for key management, RPC protection, and infrastructure hardening.
Participate in audits, incident response, and debugging of live network incidents.

Performance & Load Testing

Design and run load tests to benchmark TPS, latency, and chain throughput.
Identify bottlenecks and optimize block production, mempool behavior, and configuration tuning.
Build dashboards and tooling to continuously measure large-scale network performance.
Work closely with protocol engineers to drive improvements across the stack.

Requirements

At least 4 years experience using Golang.
Worked at an L1.
Deep understanding of EVM internals, RPC layers, state management, and client implementations.
