Plexus are partnered with a team seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Cross-Chain Solver) to lead and optimize the solver, powering fast, reliable, cost-efficient cross-chain transactions. You’ll build core infrastructure for seamless asset movement and tackle interoperability. What you’ll do

• Architect and ship a low-latency cross-chain solver spanning multiple networks.
• Create pricing and routing logic to maximize throughput and capital efficiency.
• Build scalable liquidity orchestration and rebalancing across chains.
• Establish resilient monitoring/alerting and comprehensive test suites.
• Tune execution paths; design dependable transaction submission/management.
• Partner with smart-contract engineers; enforce code quality, reviews, and best practices.

What makes a good candidate

• 5+ years of backend experience; expert with TypeScript and NestJS.
• Strong statistics/data science grounding and mastery of data structures & algorithms.
• Deep knowledge of blockchain internals, mempools, and transaction execution.
• Proven experience with high-throughput services; fluent with RPC quirks and caching (e.g., Redis).
• Skilled in observability/monitoring and system-level design.
• Self-directed problem solver with clear communication, feedback fluency, and ownership.

Nice to haves

• Proficiency in Rust.
• Prior hands-on solver experience in a similar environment.
• Experience with cross-chain bridges or DEXs.
• Background in trading systems or market making.
• Familiarity with multiple blockchain VMs (EVM, SVM, Move, etc.).
