Senior Backend Engineer | Remote | GMT +- 3 hours | Permanent
Plexus are partnered with a team seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Cross-Chain Solver) to build and extend the API stack to fully support the Hyperliquid ecosystem — including all its native projects, spot/perps markets, builder codes, and unique HyperEVM feature set. Day-to-Day
- Work hand-in-hand with the Expansion PM and backend team to design, ship, and continuously improve Hyperliquid integrations, routing logic, and end-to-end user flows.
- Scout, evaluate, and prioritize new Hyperliquid-specific features and opportunities for the LI.FI protocol.
- Write clean, scalable, and battle-tested backend code that powers reliable same-chain and cross-chain trading on Hyperliquid.
- Uphold high standards for performance, security, monitoring, and uptime in production systems.
- Actively participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and system design sessions.
- Own and maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for all Hyperliquid-related integrations and APIs.
Requirments
- In-depth knowledge of Hyperliquid’s core architecture: spot/perp builder codes, HIP-3, precompiles, and HyperEVM: you understand the design and actively follow updates.
- Real passion and demonstrable experience in the Hyperliquid ecosystem (personal projects, contributions, or deep independent exploration).
- Solid understanding of orderbook mechanics and comfort with programmatic order management (limits, cancels/reduces, post-only, IOC/FOK, etc.).
- Strong backend engineering track record, particularly with EVM ecosystems and integration patterns (zero frontend or UI work involved).
- Proven TypeScript expertise: You’ve designed and shipped production-grade, scalable APIs and backend systems.
- Highly self-directed: you can independently drive integrations, propose features, and deliver them with minimal supervision while working well in a remote team.
