Senior Backend Engineer

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Location: New York / Singapore / Lisbon / Warsaw Compensation: Competitive base + annual performance bonus

Plexus has partnered with a leading global cryptocurrency trading firm to hire a Senior Software Engineer for their Core Engineering team. Live in crypto markets since 2018 with offices across New York, Singapore and Europe, they run trading, asset management, structuring and risk management across the digital asset space, serving crypto foundations, token issuers, centralised and decentralised exchanges, HNWIs and institutional asset managers.

The Role:

• Design and optimise low-latency trading infrastructure for market making and execution across both CeFi and DeFi venues
• Build data pipelines and analytics for real-time market data processing and strategy research
• Work alongside quants and traders to turn trading strategies into production-ready code
• Lead and mentor a team of strong engineers while staying hands-on in the code. 

What they’re looking for:

• Strong Rust and Python (both essential)
• Deep grasp of concurrency, computer architecture and system optimisation, with solid data structures and algorithms
• Bonus: crypto, market making or HFT background, DeFi protocol experience, familiarity with exchange APIs (WebSocket, FIX, REST)
