Senior Backend Engineer

Senior Backend Engineer – $200k Base – EU/EST Time Zone – Remote 

Plexus is working with the next generation of financial infrastructure connecting traditional banking with blockchain. Their products enable businesses to seamlessly access stablecoins and crypto assets, integrate yield opportunities, and automate transactions, all with security enforced by code. 

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build high-performance services in Rust. You’ll own end-to-end backend systems that power modern financial infrastructure connecting traditional banking and blockchain.

Responsibilities: 

• Build and maintain backend systems that bridge traditional finance and blockchain.
• Design, implement, and optimize APIs and services handling high transaction volumes.
• Collaborate on projects such as: Real-time settlement engines for on-chain/off-chain reconciliation & card issuing infrastructure with instant spend notifications.

Requirements: 

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience shipping production services
• Strong experience in Rust 
• Experience with AWS (ECS), Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform
• Experience in fintech or transaction-heavy systems
• Bonus: experience with Solana, RPC clients, or on-chain transactions
