Plexus is partnered with a top-tier crypto venture firm and liquidity provider, recognized for its deep engineering expertise and investments across decentralized infrastructure. Beyond capital deployment, the firm operates its own infrastructure division — running validators, custom RPCs, and hardware solutions that power next-gen blockchain networks.

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Principal to lead and expand their edge across the infrastructure vertical. This is a senior, high-impact role suited for someone fluent in the technical layers of crypto — from L1/L2 scalability and ZK cryptography to data infrastructure and developer tooling.

You’ll guide the firm’s infrastructure investment strategy, drive deal sourcing, conduct technical due diligence, and help position the firm as a thought leader in the space. The ideal candidate combines deep technical understanding with investment acumen and the ability to translate complex engineering into strategic insight.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Sourcing & Strategy

• Own the infrastructure investment strategy across L1s/L2s, ZK tech, dev tools, and data infrastructure.

• Proactively generate deal flow and identify high-conviction opportunities.

• Build and maintain relationships with founders, investors, and accelerators in the infrastructure ecosystem.

• Develop theses around emerging infrastructure trends and scaling technologies.

Deal Execution

• Lead due diligence on prospective infrastructure investments.

• Build detailed models and investment memos with clear technical and financial insights.

• Evaluate architecture and infrastructure design in collaboration with engineering teams.

• Structure and negotiate investment terms.

Research & Thought Leadership

• Establish the firm’s presence as a top voice in blockchain infrastructure.

• Develop and share insights on network design, scaling solutions, and protocol differentiation.

• Publish research and represent the firm at industry events and conferences.

Portfolio & Ecosystem Support

• Support portfolio companies on technical and strategic initiatives.

• Track portfolio performance and identify follow-on opportunities.

• Connect founders with technical and operational resources across the ecosystem.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in crypto infrastructure, investment, or engineering roles.

• Deep technical understanding of blockchain infrastructure, scaling solutions, and developer tooling.

• Proven track record of infrastructure investments or hands-on technical development.

• Strong network across the blockchain infrastructure ecosystem.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear narratives.
