Quantitative Trading (Execution) Role @ Crypto Hedge Fund

Plexus is partnering with a leading crypto hedge fund operating in New York, San Diego, Singapore, and London, with 9-figure AUM and ambitious growth plans. We’re assisting them in hiring a Quantitative Trader, with a preference for candidates in APAC.

About the Role

The team has been running a forecasting-based strategy for over a year and is now expanding its technological capabilities and trade execution, particularly in the Asia region, for 24/7 trading coverage. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in high-frequency trading (HFT) or execution, expertise in C++/Rust, and the ability to transition systems to high-performance models while contributing to strategic and architectural improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute trade lists with minimal slippage.
• Develop time-scale alphas to enhance execution quality.
• Generate reports for execution performance analysis.
• Maintain live market data feeds for execution and research.
• Monitor market trends and advancements in crypto options.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, C++, Rust, or other high-performance programming tools.
• Experience in quantitative trading, ideally in crypto HFT.
• Strong statistical analysis, machine learning, and time series analysis skills.
• Knowledge of market microstructure and order book dynamics.

Desired Qualities

• Crypto market trading experience and exchange familiarity.
• Background in machine learning for trading strategies.
• Proven project management and delivery skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong abstract reasoning.
• Independent thinker with a risk-tolerant, competitive drive.
