AI Platform Engineering Lead

Location: Remote (EST timezone overlap required)

Plexus has partnered with a leading trading firm building a next-generation AI-powered intelligence platform. Combining LLMs, real-time data, and intelligent decision-making, they’re creating tools that help traders make better decisions, faster.

The Role

This is a frontend-leaning engineering leadership role focused on building AI-powered desktop applications for traders. You’ll lead a small engineering team while remaining hands-on, with the majority of your work centred around React, TypeScript, and Electron. You’ll also build LLM-powered agents, integrate with backend services using Python and/or Rust, and work closely with traders to deliver high-impact internal tools.

Requirements

Essential

• Deep experience building production applications with React, TypeScript, and Electron
• Shipped LLM/AI agent tooling into production
• Strong frontend engineer with backend experience in Python and/or Rust
• Previous engineering leadership or people management experience
• Able to work with EST timezone overlap
• High ownership and thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Nice to Have

• Trading, fintech, or financial markets experience
• Experience building tools for traders, quants, analysts, or other expert users
• AWS or cloud infrastructure experience
