Lead QA Engineer

The Role

The company is seeking a QA Engineer to own and scale its quality assurance processes across a fast-evolving DeFi application. This role is ideal for someone deeply familiar with both automated and manual testing, who can spot nuanced edge cases and collaborate tightly with the engineering team to ensure high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing of the DeFi platform, covering functional and non-functional areas

• Set up and maintain automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright) for UI and mobile apps

• Execute thorough manual testing, especially on core features like swaps, pricing, and chain integrations

• Provide detailed feedback on app behavior, performance, and UX flows

• Communicate a clear and pragmatic QA strategy tailored to a web3 environment

• Document complex edge cases, bugs, and reproducible scenarios

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong background in both automated and manual QA practices

• Proficient with Playwright or similar UI testing tools

• Experience testing mobile applications and automating mobile QA workflows

• Familiarity with tools like Tenderly, Hardhat, and Ethers.js

• Solid understanding of SQL and database testing

• Hands-on experience with performance testing

• Knowledge of core DeFi concepts such as slippage, DEXs, bridges, lending protocols, and perpetuals

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Solana or other non-EVM chains

• Background in testing intent-based protocols or DEX aggregators
