Head of Risk

Job title: Head of Risk  Location: On site London or Mexico Salary: Healthy base + performance bonus  

Plexus is partnering with a leading, VC-backed crypto trading firm that’s rapidly expanding across derivatives, market making, and lending. As they scale, they need stronger oversight of capital, exposure, and product risk. They’re now hiring an Experienced Risk Officer / Head of Risk to provide firm-wide coverage and support their next stage of growth.

Responsibilities  •  Build and lead the risk function as the firm expands into derivatives and complex products •  Develop frameworks to manage market, credit, liquidity, and operational risk •  Deliver visibility into positions, concentrations, and exposures across the organization •  Partner with trading, engineering, and leadership to enable risk-informed decisions •  Implement risk tools, controls, and processes for a fast-moving crypto trading environment

Requirements  •  Proven experience as a Risk Officer / Head of Risk in the crypto space •  Strong understanding of derivatives, market making, lending, and broader crypto financial products •  Ability to build risk frameworks from the ground up •  Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth trading firm
