Engineering Manager (Backend)

Plexus are working with a leading DeFi protocol, they are listed in the Top 20 DeFi projects by TVL and are rapidly growing, hence why they’re currently expanding their engineering team. They’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager (Backend) to join their growing team!   What You’ll Do:

• Lead a high-performing team, prioritize success, manage tasks, and tackle technical debt while building a world-class infrastructure team.
• Design scalable and reliable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines for platform growth.
• Build secure, data-intensive systems leveraging blockchain knowledge.
• Develop long-term infrastructure strategies aligned with company growth and business goals.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing Web3 infrastructure teams of 5+ engineers.
• In-depth expertise in TypeScript (Rust is a plus), Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of blockchain technology and a proven track record of designing scalable systems.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a humble and adaptable approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.   

Benefits:

• Salary range of €250K-€300K per annum (dependant on experience)
