Director of Compliance

Plexus have partnered with an established digital asset technology business looking for a senior compliance professional to help grow its financial crime offering.

You’ll work with clients across traditional finance and crypto, helping them manage financial crime risks and build effective controls. Alongside client advisory work, you’ll influence how the business develops its compliance products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop AML controls covering sanctions, transaction monitoring and investigations.
• Advise clients on managing financial crime exposure when working with digital assets.
• Translate regulatory changes into practical guidance for clients and internal teams.
• Work with product and commercial teams to develop services around customer needs.
• Support regulatory engagement and suspicious activity reporting where required.

Requirements:

• Senior financial crime or compliance experience, such as MLRO, CCO or an equivalent leadership position.
• Experience spanning traditional financial services and crypto businesses.
• Practical knowledge of blockchain investigation tools, wallet screening or transaction monitoring.
• Confidence advising clients and working with senior stakeholders.
• CAMS or an equivalent qualification.

Experience with licensing applications, regulatory reviews or remediation would be a plus.
