DeFi Protocol Engineer

We have partnered with a proven DeFi team with deep experience building production protocols in the Polkadot ecosystem, to explore a new initiative in the Perpetuals / FX space.

Role:

• Advisor or Lead Protocol Engineer for a new on-chain Perpetuals / FX protocol

• Own technical direction during an early-stage product pivot

• Part-time advisory or full-time hands-on, depending on profile

• Work closely with founders on architecture, design, and strategy

Responsibilities:

• Lead protocol architecture, mechanism design, and smart contract implementation

• Design core systems: funding rates, liquidations, risk management, oracles, incentives

• Translate early ideas into clear specs and production-ready contracts

• Set security standards and lead external audits  

Offer:

• Up to $200k base + equity (depending on role & experience)

• Fully remote, EU-friendly
