With a robust yield strategy and deep exposure across major blockchain ecosystems, the firm leverages its technical insight and institutional network to source, evaluate, and scale the next generation of DeFi investments.

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a DeFi Analyst / Associate to join their investment team and play a hands-on role guiding venture and liquid investment decisions. This is a mid-level, high-autonomy role suited for someone already engrained in the trenches of crypto, a DeFi native who actively invests, trades, and researches on-chain.

You’ll work closely with partners to identify new opportunities, conduct market research, and engage founders shaping the frontier of decentralized finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Analysis & Research

• Conduct deep analysis of DeFi protocols, tokenomics, and liquidity mechanics.

• Prepare detailed investment memos, market reports, and financial models.

• Continuously monitor emerging trends, new primitives, and high-growth opportunities.

Deal Sourcing & Network Building

• Generate deal flow across both venture and liquid strategies.

• Build and maintain relationships with founders, operators, and investors across ecosystems.

• Represent the firm at industry events and stay in sync with the pulse of the DeFi community.

Portfolio Support & Strategy

• Monitor portfolio performance, key metrics, and on-chain developments.

• Support strategic initiatives for portfolio companies through research and market insights.

• Contribute to refining investment theses through data-driven analysis and conviction-based thinking.

Qualifications:

• 3–6 years of experience in crypto, VC, trading, or financial markets.

• Active DeFi user with skin in the game — manages or invests personal capital.

• Strong grasp of venture and liquid investing dynamics.

• Background could be in finance, research, or crypto-native roles.

• Ideally has invested at or alongside another VC fund.

• Operates with high autonomy, agency, and self-drive, while integrating well with a team.

• Deep conviction and passion for crypto, staying close to founders and emerging opportunities.
