Data Scientist

Plexus is partnered with a well-funded stealth AI startup building an internal platform that enables AI systems to delegate real-world tasks to humans — with a focus on specialised, high-value, and physically grounded data capture. The team is growing and looking for a Data Scientist to strengthen their data pipelines and overall data quality strategy.

Position Overview We are hiring a Data Scientist with strong experience in dataset preparation, labeling, and structuring workflows. This is a fully remote role within a ~10-person engineering-led team, open globally, with a preference for 3–4 hours of overlap with US Pacific.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, label, and structure high-quality datasets

• Design clear, reliable data pipelines and delivery formats for ML teams

• Ensure data consistency, metadata clarity, and scalable data throughput

• Work cross-functionally with engineering in a fast-paced startup environment

• Bonus: experience with audio or other unstructured data modalities

Qualifications

• Strong experience in data preparation, labeling, and dataset structuring

• Ability to design and manage practical, ML-ready data pipelines

• Hands-on, innovative mindset — ideal for startup environments

• Open to junior–mid candidates; senior considered if deeply experienced

• Experience with audio/unstructured data is a plus
