Data Engineering & Automation Lead (Python) – Research & Trading Firm (HFT) Remote Up to $250k
Plexus have partnered with a high-performance research and trading that firm is looking for a Python Engineer to design and scale the data infrastructure powering their high-frequency trading systems and research platform.
You’ll work at the intersection of data, systems, and trading – architecting pipelines that deliver real-time, low-latency performance across global markets.
Responsibilities:

Building and maintaining high-throughput data ingestion pipelines and ETL systems
- Designing scalable database schemas for analytics and trading workloads
- Managing real-time and batch data workflows across multiple sources
Requirements:

Expert in Python (async programming, Pydantic, structured logging)

Strong background in data engineering, streaming, time-series data & experience building 0-1.

Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, dbt)
