Data Engineer

Data Engineer – Up to $160k + Tokens – Remote 

Plexus is partnering with an innovative AI and Web3 gaming company to hire a Data Engineer. The team builds AI-powered, web-based mini apps distributed via Telegram, rewarding players with digital goods and collectibles. You’ll help design and scale the data infrastructure that powers analytics and player insights.

Role Overview

As Data Engineer, you’ll own the design and maintenance of data pipelines, warehouses, and analytics systems. You’ll collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure data reliability, scalability, and accessibility across the platform.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines and data models.

• Maintain reliable, high-performance data infrastructure.

• Work with product and engineering teams to define and deliver data needs.

• Integrate AI and analytics tools (e.g. Looker, BigQuery) into workflows.

• Drive improvements in data quality, speed, and scalability.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar.

• Strong skills in SQL, Python, and data modeling / ETL.

• Familiarity with Looker, BigQuery, or related tools.

• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g. Postgres, Cassandra).

• Based in Europe, UK, Eastern Europe, or Turkey.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with big data tools (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop).

• Background in gaming, Web3, or analytics-heavy SaaS.

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
