Chief Technology Officer (CTO) | Dubai | Remote

ROLE SUMMARY

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is the senior executive responsible for the project’s technology strategy, overseeing engineering, AI, blockchain infrastructure, and security. This leader will architect and scale the firm’s next-generation AI-driven algorithmic trading platform and institutional-grade tokenisation systems, driving innovation and operational resilience across all digital asset operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the long-term technology roadmap across AI, quantitative trading, blockchain, and cybersecurity, ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Trading & AI Architecture: Architect an institutional-grade algorithmic trading platform, overseeing signal generation, execution engines, reinforcement learning models, and back testing systems.

  • Blockchain & Custody: Lead the development of smart contracts, tokenisation engines, and secure key-management protocols (MPC/HSM) for digital asset custody.

  • Infrastructure & Operations: Manage high-performance cloud infrastructure (DevOps/MLOps), low-latency data pipelines, and external API integrations to ensure maximum system resilience.

  • Team & Compliance: Recruit and mentor a world-class engineering team while owning the entire SDLC, security audits, vendor evaluation, and regulatory compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Executive Experience: 10–15+ years in software engineering with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles within crypto, fintech, HFT, or quantitative trading environments.

  • AI & Quant Expertise: Deep expertise in AI/ML, predictive modelling, and reinforcement learning, with a proven track record of building enterprise-grade algorithmic trading systems.

  • Blockchain Engineering: Strong background in blockchain engineering architecture, knowledge on smart contracts, coupled with experience in cryptographic security and custody systems.

  • Technical Stack: Extensive hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, Redis, and Terraform.

  • Education: MSc or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field is highly preferred.
