Cryptography Research Lead 

Plexus have partnered with an innovative, well-funded, privacy focused protocol at the forefront of cutting-edge cryptography.

Role Overview: We seek a Research Lead to design, evaluate, and implement cryptographic protocols, including zkp’s, distributed cryptographic protocols, and cryptographic primitives (e.g., elliptic curves, hash functions). Responsibilities:

  • Design cryptographic protocols.
  • Evaluate and analyze existing protocols, particularly zkSNARK and zkSTARK systems (e.g., Halo 2, ProtoStar).
  • Modify and combine existing protocols for specific use-cases.
  • Produce technical specifications and collaborate on implementations.
  • Implement, review, and test cryptographic operations and protocols, primarily in Rust.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in mathematics and/or cryptography, especially in complexity theory, abstract algebra, and cryptographic protocol design.
  • Equivalent of a PhD in mathematics or cryptography (formal PhD not required).
  • Expertise in protocol design and analysis of distributed cryptographic protocols.
