Backend Lead Developer

Our client is seeking a Backend Lead Developer to drive the technical backend of a cutting-edge Web3 and AI data platform. Ideal for experienced backend engineers who want to lead development, work with AI agents, and scale data pipelines that aggregate and validate blockchain project data.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead backend development, architecture decisions, and technical roadmap for the platform.

• Build scalable data pipelines and integrations to aggregate and validate blockchain project data.

• Oversee databases (PostgreSQL and MongoDB) including performance tuning, migrations, and vector search/embeddings.

• Work with Web3/blockchain data, smart contracts, and on-chain protocols

  Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience, including 2+ years in a lead or architect role.

• Strong Python (5+ years) skills (FastAPI, Flask, Django or similar).

• Proven experience with large-scale web scraping or data pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB (vector DB, embeddings).

• Familiarity with AI/LLM frameworks and integrating agent-driven workflows.

• Experience with AWS services and DevOps automation (Bash, cron jobs, deployment pipelines).

• Knowledge of blockchain/Web3 ecosystems and ability to read/write Solidity (entry-level).
