Backend Engineer - High-Performance Trading Infrastructure

Backend Engineer – $80k – $140k Base + Equity – Remote  (High-Performance Trading Infrastructure)

Plexus has teamed with a leading prime brokerage platform in the algorithmic trading ecosystem. The team is building institutional-grade infrastructure designed for large-scale, high-throughput trading. Currently a team of 2 looking to grow!

We’re looking for an exceptional backend engineer to help develop the core systems powering next-generation trading infrastructure. You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies including TEEs, Rust, smart contracts, and high-performance distributed systems.

What You’ll Do

•  Design and implement high-performance backend services in Rust •  Build and optimize smart contracts within a custom EVM environment •  Develop ultra-low-latency trading systems with sub-millisecond performance targets •  Contribute to system architecture and protocol design alongside a world-class engineering team

What We’re Looking For

•  Strong proficiency in Rust and systems programming •  Experience working with high-throughput or low-latency trading systems •  Understanding of blockchain platforms and smart contract development •  Ability to design and maintain complex distributed systems •  Passion for building robust, scalable, mission-critical infrastructure

Role is open to anyone everywhere however if you are open to being in Singapore, or already based there that would be exceptional!
