Back End Engineer (DeFi / Web3) NYC Based

We’re looking for a Back End Engineer to help scale our DeFi platform. You’ll work across the stack – designing scalable services, integrating blockchain functionality, and optimizing performance for real-time trading systems.

You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain backend services with Node.js, TypeScript (NestJS), and Python

  • Integrate web3 and blockchain features across the stack

  • Implement caching, APIs, and microservices using Redis, PostgreSQL, and AWS

  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and security

  • Collaborate on architecture, product features, and best practices

You Have

  • Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, Redis

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, REST/WebSockets/SSE, and web3 libraries (ethers.js)

  • Understanding of database design, security, and CI/CD

  • Bonus: Go, GraphQL/Subgraphs, Prometheus/Grafana, or DeFi/trading experience
