API Engineer

We are seeking a Senior API Engineer for one of our clients building a next-generation platform for digital finance, enabling global money movement, digital asset trading, and card issuance—all without reliance on legacy banking systems

They’re a remote-first startup building programmable financial infrastructure—global payments, wallets, trading, and more—all accessible via developer-friendly APIs and powered by stablecoins.

The Role You’ll design and develop backend APIs that power their financial modules—accounts, payments, cards, trading, and yield. Your work will turn complex financial systems into simple, secure, and scalable interfaces.

What You’ll Do

• Build high-performance APIs for global money movement and asset operations

• Abstract compliance and infrastructure into clean developer experiences

• Design resilient systems for real-time, high-volume financial data

• Implement secure, well-documented gateways and auth layers

Your Experience

• 5+ years in fintech/backend engineering

• Deep knowledge of REST API design, authentication, and developer tooling

• Experience with payment systems, financial accounts, and secure transactions

• Skilled in system design and database architecture for scale

Tech Stack

• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Go (Rust a plus)

• DBs: PostgreSQL, Redis

• Infra: AWS/GCP, queues, API gateways

• Security: OAuth 2.0, JWT
